This is because 2003+ models featured goodies such as rack-and-pinion steering, a coil over-style spring and shock assembly, disc brakes, and cast-aluminum lower A-arms. Even better, the entire assembly bolts to the frame, making it a literal piece of cake to pull off such a swap in an older F-100. Couple that with the fact that Panther platform cars are everywhere – including junkyards – and it’s easy to see why these swaps are so popular.
