1974 Chevrolet Impala

1974 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe "Spirit of America Edition". All original One owner survivor with only 7750 actual miles!!! Capitalizing on the growing patriotism of the United States upcoming Bicentennial Celebration in 1976, Chevrolet introduced the "Spirit of America Edition "only making 2500 of them. A one year only $399 package consisted of Gleaming White cars were used with special white ralley wheels with hand painted red and blue pinstriping , with white vinyl tops, white interiors and red or blue dashes, color keyed seat belts, carpeting, floor mats, color keyed sport mirrors, and vinyl red & blue body side pinstriping. Special emblems used on the door panels, steering wheel, and vinyl top B pillars emblems announced the package to passer-bys and passengers. This particular rare all original survivor super low mileage example was purchased new in Hudson Wisconsin at Midway Chevrolet. The one owner car was always garaged and the owner lived close to schools, church and never drove it far, babied it, always keeping a towel on the door panel armrest, kept all the original paperwork from the dealer and most receipts throughout the years until his passing in 2023. The original paint looks like new, original interior is spotless, and the trunk looks like it was never used. It had the original tires on it until we put new radial tires because of the sidewall cracking. The only non-stock item on the car is the dual exhaust with chrome tips for a nice rumble. Nicely equipped with a smooth running numbers matching L65 Turbo Fire 350, we rebuilt the 2bbl carburetor, smooth shifting automatic transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, optional cold air conditioning recently charged with r12 freon, Am/Fm Delco radio with rear seat speaker, Dealer installed deflecta-shield, bumper guards, litter container, tinted glass, and visor mirror. This car is a time capsule and had an original sticker price of $5221.40. Very seldom do we find 50 year old cars with such low miles and great history!! This is one of the best, smoothest driving cars we have in the building!
