Description

This 1974 Honda XL70 is powered by a four-stroke 72cc single paired with a four-speed transmission and finished in orange with black graphics. Features include a cross-braced handlebar, raised fenders, and enduro tires, a license plate bracket, and drum brakes. A restoration is said to have been completed in the last few years, and the bike has been kept on display since. The fuel tank was refinished in metallic orange with black graphics, and the side covers and scrambler-style fenders were painted to match. Equipment includes a chrome grab rail, street lighting, a license plate bracket, dual mirrors, and a side stand. The previous owner states that new old-stock parts as well as reproduction items were used in the restoration. Chrome wire-spoke wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Trail Wing on-/off-road tires measuring 2.50-16 front and Shinko 2.75-14 rear. Suspension consists of a conventional fork and a rear swingarm mounted to dual shocks. Braking is from drums at both ends. The tall chrome handlebar features a center cross-brace and an ignition switch on the right. A single gauge mounted above the top triple clamp includes a 50-mph speedometer with neutral and high beam indicators, recommended shift points, and a four-digit odometer showing 2063 believed actual miles. The air-cooled 72cc four-stroke single features a single overhead camshaft that helped it produce five horsepower when new. Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a four-speed manual transmission and a drive chain. Fun great looking little bike, fun for the beginner/ pit bike or garage art.
