1978 Datsun 280Z

This great 280Z has lived most of its life in the southern region of the states and comes from a professional that really understands and knows these cars. Here is the true beauty of this great "Z" Car and that this one has only 23k original miles and it shows. The only major none original equipment, and in our opinion this is a plus are that the brakes have been changed out to Wilwood 4 Wheel Disc with aftermarket wheels to fit. The underside of this fine Z is solid and pretty much original with only some very minor detailing having been done. It is very solid with lots of original equipment and very nicely appointed from the factory. If you are looking for a truly fun and reliable sports car this Z will get your blood pumping. Some features are it is powered by the legendary Datsun 2.8L Fuel Injected In-Line 6 that is tight with a fully synchronized 5 speed manual transmission. Excellent correct 5 MPH Front and Rear Bumpers Full Factory Display of Gauges with Tach, Oil, Amp, Temp Gauges Original 160 Speedometer and only 23XXX miles, original AMFM Radio in the dash with correct Vinyl Bucket Seats, Full Console with Storage Compartment, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel all in Excellent Shape. There are Dual Black Outside Rear View Mirrors Factory Air Conditioning, Black Rear Window Louvers, 16 inch 8 spoke alloy wheels with 205/55 Black Wall Radial and a complete exhaust system. The Silver paint is original with a some minor scuffs and a scratch on the top of the passenger fender, that we couldn't buff out completely. We elected to not paint it because for 43 year old paint it is fantastic. There is a tasteful rocker stripe with 280Z call outs and there are crystal clear headlight covers, in homage to the boys from Maranello, you know. The dash has NO cracks and the seat bolster show little to no wear. Heck, the power antenna actually works. We have been around a lot of Datsun Z cars dating back to the mid 1970s and this one is as nice as any we have seen that has not been restored. If you have never driven a 280Z you should treat yourself, the horsepower to weight ratio is excellent and the suspension will get your heart pumping as you exit the next tight bender you encounter. When it comes to bang for the buck these cars are outstanding.
